Positive Ageing Week

Age & Opportunity welcomes Positive Ageing Week as it brings a focus on older people's issues and acts as a catalyst for increased participation by older people in Irish society. Age & Opportunity is the national not-for-profit organisation that promotes opportunities for greater participation by older people in society through partnerships and collaborative programmes. Our work takes place on a year round basis and includes a variety of programmes from the arts and physical activity, to education and awareness raising.

Through Age & Opportunity programmes, we see older people contributing a huge amount to their communities all year round.  As part of our contribution to Positive Aging Week, we are running Go for Life workshops in Tipperary, Limerick, Kerry and Louth, Carlow and Dublin; and giving a talk on ‘Being Agewise’ in Trinity College Dublin.

It’s never too late to get connected, be involved and think creatively!
