Bursary available for Artist in the Community Scheme 2010

The Arts Council Artist in the Community Scheme Bursary Award 2010 aims to support individual professional artists in any art form working in the field of Arts and Older People.

Designed to support and nurture the professional development of individual arts practitioners collaborating with older people, the Artist in the Community Scheme Bursary Award of €10,000 will provide an artist with the time and resources to think, research, reflect and engage with their art practice.

This is the first year that the Arts Council has provided a Bursary award as part of the Artist in the Community Scheme, managed by Create, the national development agency for collaborative arts.

For enquiries about the application process call Katherine Atkinson at Create – telephone 01 473 6600 or find out more on the create website. Deadline for applications is Monday, 27 September 2010 at 5pm.

In partnership with Age & Opportunity, Create are hosting two information and discussion events for artists interested in the Arts Council Artist in the Community Scheme Bursary award. To attend either session, book with Create on communications@create-ireland.ie:
