Orla joined Age & Opportunity in 2023 as our Engage Programme Manager (Acting). Our Engage Programme focuses on personal development and civic engagement which have a significant role to play in helping us all to achieve the best quality of life as we age.

Before joining Age & Opportunity Orla ran her own small business.  Prior to that, she worked as a Producer/Project Manager with AV Edge, an educational media company producing programming for RTE – in addition to media solutions for the corporate, government and not for profit sectors. 

During that time Orla was Project Manager/Producer of the Bigger, Better, Faster television series focusing on change management within business, funded under the EU Adapt programme.  She was also a producer on Read Write Now – an adult literacy television series, broadcast over many seasons on RTE and a factual television series on parenting – PG Plus.  

She also spent several years in New York working for various media companies, including Childrens’ Television Workshop, and Fox News.

Orla has a Diploma in Business Management, from TU Dublin and a BA from UCD.   She recently commenced a Professional Diploma in Creativity, Innovation and Leadership with the UCD Innovation Academy.
