Sue Guildea Active Programme Manager

Sue began working with Age & Opportunity in September 2007. She is responsible for the development and delivery of our Active Programme, designed to get more older people more active and participate in recreational sport and physical activity. Sue leads a range of initiatives including our Go for Life Programme, which is the National Physical Activity Programme for Older People, funded by Sport Ireland and the HSE.
Sue has always had an interest in health and fitness and has a BA in Leisure Management.
Prior to Age & Opportunity, Sue was a manager of a fitness facility in Dublin. Sue began working with Age & Opportunity as an Administrator for our Go for Life Programme, and she became Assistant Manager of the programme in 2013, and then became Manager of the Programme in December 2018. Her main interests are in promoting greater opportunities for larger numbers of older people to become more physically active and for more opportunities to be available for older adults to take part and enjoy recreational sport with their peers.
