PALs Workshops Kildare – Be a Physical Activity Leader for your group
September 19 - November 7
Go for Life, working with Kildare Sports Partnership are holding a series of workshops for older people who are interested in leading physical activities with members of their groups/clubs/organisations. Participants do not need to have any background or formal experience in leading physical activities. These workshops take place all over the country throughout the year, thousands of older people have participated to date and gone on to lead a wide range of physical activities in their own groups and communities.
You are invited to have in attendance 2-3 people from your group who are interested in organising and leading physical activity sessions.
The 8 workshops will take place from 19th September – 7th November, and nominees from your group must be available to attend all workshop days. Workshops are free of charge and refreshments will be provided on the day.
As space is strictly limited to 24 places you are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
(Contact Ciara at Go for Life office, Ph 01 805 7733 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.)
All workshops have a physical activity element, so casual leisurewear and flat, comfortable shoes should be worn.
Please take a moment to read the attached information sheet which outlines what you can expect in a typical series of workshops here:
The objective of this training is to enable members of your group to carry out a leadership role in the planning and managing of physical activities with your group as Go for Life PALs.
