“Sofa to Saddle” for Adults 55+: Cycle Programme for Adult Beginner / Novice Cyclists

Get yourself from the Sofa to the Saddle with our free Cycle Programme for Adult Beginner / Novice Cyclists
This is a 10 week programme for total beginners or novice cyclists to help you discover the camaraderie of leisure cycling within a group, with the added bonus of improving your own health and fitness.
The programme will include both theory and practical elements starting with an indoor session to learn basic road instructions, safety, cycle preparation, maintainence and all aspects of cycling in a safe fun environment.
The aim of the course is introduce more older adults to cycling so whether you just want to build your confidence for leisure cycling and enjoy meeting new people or ultimately to join us and 6,000+ cyclists in the Great Dublin Bike ride in September everybody is welcome!
The programme will be led by one of our qualified fitness professionals who is passionate about cycling and has mapped out safe and enjoyable routes for us.
Each Saturday morning from 22nd June to 24th August the group will meet at Phoenix Park Bike Rental, Chesterfield Avenue
(Park Gate St Entrance)
Costs of rental bike free to those who don’t have their own bikes
Time: 10.30 am – 12.30 pm (including cuppa & chat!)
So come along, enjoy your cycling, improve your fitness, meet new people and have a bit of craic !
