We received funding from the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission (IHREC) to host five Citizens’ Assemblies throughout June to explore with older people the experiences of the Covid-19 restrictions and, in particular, the policy of “cocooning”.
We commissioned a short video as a Vox Pop (voice of the people) to stimulate the discussions and reflections. The persons in the video are expressing their personal views and we tried as much as possible to get a range of views from women and men in both urban and rural settings.
We’re planning to host a meeting with IHREC and others in Sept/Oct to share the learnings and the report will be available to the public after that.
